Our yoga class is of the Hatha Yoga style according to the method of Iyengar which is characterised by:

  • precision alignments in postures
  • posture intensity and duration
  • posture sequencing
  • use of support (blocks, blankets, belts, chairs, bolsters etc.) in order to feel the full effects of each individual posture

The class will always start with a moment of physical and mental pause in a sitting posture. You will learn the yoga postures (asana), the respiratory techniques (pranayama) while developing gradually your technique with increased confidence and without any risk.

Through regular practice you will reconnect to your body and to your potential in softening and strengthening your muscles and articulations.

This physical state will take you to mental relaxation and allow you to find your inner harmony and, thereby, lead to:

  • self-acceptance of your limits
  • elimination of fatigue
  • a feeling of lightness
  • greater joy in taking on the challenges of everyday living

The class will finish with guided relaxation in a supine posture (savasana).
